Dear HOPE Friends,
HOPE Distributes Iftar, Eid Clothes, and Food Rations to Over 450 Disadvantaged Students During Sit-Down Iftar
Earlier this week, HOPE continued the spirit of Ramadan by treating over 450 underserved students and their families to a sit-down iftar event where Eid clothes and food rations were also distributed. This event took place in Bhittaiabad, an urban slum within the Karachi, Pakistan metropolitan area.
Our sit-down iftars are a critical component of cultivating a sense emotional well-being in students who are born into poverty. The sit-down iftars are sponsored by Sadaqa funds while our door-to-door iftars are Zakat-eligible.
Over 450 students in Bhittaiabad enjoyed a delicious meal with their peers and received food rations for their families along with new Eid clothes. Food Rations and Eid clothes are both Zakat-eligible causes.
