Dear HOPE Friends,
HOPE Donates Two Computer Laboratories 🖥️ to Champion Special Needs ✨ Children 🧒🏻 in Muzaffargarh, Punjab Government-Run Schools 🏫
The last week of Ramadan ☪️ and the dawn of Eid 🌙 coincided with the Inauguration Ceremony 🎉 of an outreach project initiated and propelled by HOPE to provide equal opportunities and avenues to succeed for special needs ✨ students 🧒🏻 attending government-run schools 🏫 in Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan 🇵🇰.
Over the course of the past several months 🗓️, HOPE Chairperson, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla worked closely with Muzaffargarh, Punjab government authorities to prepare and ready two computer laboratories 🖥️ for special needs ✨ children 👩🏻🎓.
In particular, Punjab Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Memon was instrumental in facilitating the set-up of these labs to benefit children 🧒🏻 with special needs ✨. She worked tirelessly with Dr. Mubina to execute this project in a timely fashion. A total of 20 computers 🖥️ and work stations were donated by HOPE to advance and promote opportunities for children 🧒🏻 with physical and/or mental disabilities in two local government-run schools 🏫. Inauguration Day ceremonies 🎉 were eagerly presided by Member of Parliament and Secretary of Higher Education, Mr. Ajmal Khan Chandia.
Muzaffargarh, Punjab is a region towards the north of Pakistan 🇵🇰 which has struggled to thrive for decades. HOPE has a long-standing history in providing basic poverty alleviation services to underserved communities in Muzaffargarh via our Formal School 🏫, Vocational Training Center 🧵, as well as our upcoming HOPE-IFFCO Hospital 🏥 to serve the needy ❤️🩹 .
While these new computer labs 🖥️ are located within two government-run schools in Muzaffargarh (rather than HOPE's Formal Middle School in Muzaffargarh), these centers will be fulfilling a much-needed gap for special needs ✨ students 🧒🏻 living in poverty ❤️🩹 and were warmly welcomed and celebrated 🎉 by high-ranking community members, and even featured 📢 on news channels in Punjab, Pakistan 🇵🇰.
In her most recent trip to Muzaffargarh in early 2025, Dr. Mubina initiated discussions with various Punjab government officials to launch and deploy this project for special needs children 🧒🏻. As our motto is one of optimism ✨ and reaching for the stars 🌠, the plaques on both computer labs 🖥️ read:
🔶 This Computer Laboratory is Established by HOPE for Future Scientists
These computer labs 🖥️ were debuted in the last few days of Ramadan ☪️ 2025 and met with great enthusiasm 🎉 from the community, government officials, and media outlets. They will serve as a beacon of promise 🌠 for students with physical and/or mental disabilities and an everlasting reminder to never give up hope ✨.
Much gratitude to the community of Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Memon, Mr. Ajmal Khan Chandia, and all our supporters who have led the way for sparks of change and beacons of hope in underserved communities in Pakistan 🇵🇰!
Warm regards,
The HOPE USA 🇺🇸 🇵🇰, HOPE UK 🇬🇧 🇵🇰, and HOPE Pakistan 🇵🇰 Teams
