It's Sweater ⛄ Weather 🌨️ - Plus IFFCO Steps up to the Plate to Enhance AJK 🏔️ Winter Distribution Efforts with Desi Ghee 🧈
We're delighted to share that our corporate partner and supporter, IFFCO, added a special bonus to our distribution of winter gear 🌨️ (jackets 🧥, sweaters , jeans 👖), school supplies 🎒, blankets 🛏️, food 🍱) in the Northern Areas 🏔️ by gifting desi ghee 🧈to include in our team's recent visit.
Desi ghee 🧈 is 99.8 percent milk fat and is considered a superfood ✨. It has broad-ranging implications for improved health including digestive, immune, neurological, cardiovascular, and detoxification benefits. During the winter months ❄️, a power punch of ghee can be pivotal for families in underserved communities, and especially those living in remote and mountainous villages areas such as Azad Kashmir 🏔️. For those struggling with meeting basic needs such as food 🍱 and warmth 🧥, ghee can provide a much-needed boost of energy to combat the harsh conditions of winter in mountainous regions 🏔️.
When IFFCO found out about the HOPE Team's trip to the Northern Areas 🏔️, they immediately sprung to action and donated 330 pounds (150 kg) of ghee which was available at the moment. IFFCO has also been instrumental in a multitude of our poverty alleviation activities including hosting iftars ☪️ for Home School children 👩🏻🎓, and most notably our disaster relief efforts in the 2022 Pakistan Flood Crisis 🌊. We are immensely grateful for their partnership and generosity and for coming to the rescue 🦸🏻♀️ during critical times ✨.
