💝 The Best Days of the Year are Almost Here!
🎇 According to the Prophet ﷺ the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah are equal to the last 10 nights of Ramadan in terms of significance!
This year, Dhul-Hijjah will begin approximately June 19, 2023 (technically at Maghrib on June 18th, 2023).
✅ Below are some beloved deeds we are encouraged to perform during these special days:
🔶 Fast:
Fast the first 9 days if possible, but especially on the day of Arafah (most likely June 27, 2023): “Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.” [Sahih Muslim]
🔶 Recite Zhikr:
Recite tasbeeh [SubhanAllah (سُـبْحانَ الله)], tahmeed [Alhumdolillah (ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ)], tahleel [La illaha illa-llah (لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ)], and takbeer [Allahu akbar (اللّٰهُ أَكْبَر)] sincerely and as often as you can.
🔶 Give Charity:
Give Sadaqa to those less fortunate.
🔶 Read Quran:
Increase your recitation and understanding of the Book of Allah ﷻ.
🔶 Perform Qurbani:
Honor the Sunnah of our great father, Ibrahim عليهالسلام by sacrificing an animal. Qurbani meat is usually distributed as 1/3 to you and your family, 1/3 to family and friends, 1/3 to the poor.
